Our Review
Going into this review I was a bit uncertain how much difference something as small as a tee would make. The tee has been around since 1889 and not changed a great deal, so could this be the first major advancement in 122 years! It looks like a Tee, it feels like a Tee, it, umm, tastes like a Tee! So why is it different?

“The Mirror Tee’s ™ patented mirrored 45 degree foundation ball seat design and hollow bore construction do two things.
- As the golf ball expands, The Mirror Tee’s™ hollow bore design vacuum pressurizes the tee (just like the effect you get when sucking on a straw) directly to the golf ball dramatically reducing ball-spin rates. The ball flies straighter!
- The mirrored 45° foundation of the ball seat design provides a more stable and secure seat for the ball to rest on. This enables the tee to be leaned forward up to 17.5 degrees, providing for longer and cleaner (zero friction) contact between the club face and the golf ball which results in a greater transfer of energy from club face to ball—the golf ball goes farther!”
So that’s how it all works, sounds very interesting. Who wouldn’t want to hit the ball longer and straighter, but does it really work once you get it out on the course?
Well quite simply, YES!
We have hit in excess of 300 tee shots on the course and on the range with the Mirror Tee™ and we have seen the benefits of the tee first hand. Straight off the bat we noticed a distinct change in ball flight. The arc of the ball flight is much smoother and slightly lower. You might think this would shorten a drive but it doesn’t as illustrated below.

Because the ball stays slightly lower it keeps a lot more forward momentum, increasing the run of the ball when it lands. This will also give you an edge in windier conditions as the ball flight has more penetration and will hold its line a lot better.
The reduced spin off the tee is having a great effect on the ball flight. The more backspin on the ball the quicker it will rise and in turn the ball will decrease in momentum and have less run.
These things are almost indestructible! I have yet to break one and well, I have tried! After a couple of range sessions and many rounds I can still use the first tee I took out of the bag and with money being tight at the moment that is a massive plus.
Great news! We have been sent and tested a shorter version of the Mirror Tee™. This is perfect for irons and anyone who tees the ball low. You can lean the tee forward for reduced spin with irons or tee it up straight. These things are almost indestructible! Round after round with the same tee and still going strong!
So in summary the Mirror Tee™ will give you extra distance; on average my drives are 15-20 yards longer and this makes a difference to my game. Such a small thing can make a big difference!
